In 2010 the National Rally
returns to this popular venue. First used in 1981 at the old club ground we
have a long and happy history with this Rugby Club having held both National
and European Rally events here. It is a spacious site on the outskirts of
Market Harborough with a great bar and on site catering.
Members and visitors will
be pleased to know that the site will be open from Thursday 29th
July for camping but the organised activities will be on Friday, Saturday
and Sunday morning. We shall be organising some events of our own – runs,
competitions, raffle etc., as usual and there will be a timetable for each
of you and an updated master copy at Rally Control. This will include the Club
AGM at
5pm
on Saturday evening.

If you want written confirmation of your
booking please enclose a Stamped Addressed Envelope otherwise I will list
bookings in Torque or E-mail you.
We have also been discussing arranging some
run outs. If you wish to volunteer to lead a run out then let me know by
phone or email. I am happy to arrange a route and print maps for the
participants. Run Leaders will get the route well in advance so you can
check the map and learn the area. Ideally we would like to do runs on
Friday afternoon and both Saturday and Sunday morning, so 3 are needed.
We also invite members to suggest any
"safe" activities which might help fill the weekend programme.
Directions
from the south on the A6 from
Northampton
(and from the A14, junction 2)
Travelling
north on the A6 heading for Market Harborough. Go over the A14 junction 2,
going directly through Kelmarsh; continue travelling north for about 5 miles
through Great Oxendon. As arriving in Market Harborough you will come to a
roundabout, turn left and follow the signposts for the Market Harborough
Rugby Club (which is directly on the right before the roundabout).
From
the north on the A6 from Leicester
Travelling
south on the A6 heading for Market Harborough. Following the directions for
Northampton
go directly through the town centre. As
you leave the town centre along A508 you will come to a roundabout, turn
right and follow the signposts for the Market Harborough Rugby Club.
Heading
to the rugby club from the M1 (and directions from Lutterworth)
Exit
the Motorway M1 at Junction 20 Lutterworth and take 1st exit (from North) or
3rd exit (from the south) to Kilworth following the signs for Market
Harborough on the A4303. As you arrive in Market Harborough you will come to
a mini roundabout, turn right, then go straight over the next mini
roundabout, turn right at the next junction following the directions for
Northampton, you will leave the town centre along A508, you will then come
to a main roundabout, turn right and follow the signposts for the Market
Harborough Rugby Club.
