Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July 2008 - Classic Motorcycle Show and Autojumble

Uttoxeter Racecourse, Uttoxeter

The VJMC is holding it's annual two day Show and Autojumble on Sat 5th & 6th July 2008 and has booked Uttoxeter Racecourse (just off the A50) for the event.

The VJMC intends that this will continue to be a major venue in the Classic Motorcycle calendar.

The club had over 60 major motorcycle clubs (Japanese, European, British and American) to join us on our anniversary event. There was also a large autojumble area included and we will again be sponsoring a Concourse event for numerous catagories, as well as best stand etc over the two days.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us in what was one of the largest Classic events in 2007 with over 600 bikes taking part and over 10000 people attending the show.

All clubs will be again be allocated indoor space in the showground halls. Autojumble will be in a separate very large marquee as well as outdoors on hard standing. There will also be other activities happening throughout the weekend.

JAWA CZ OC will have a stand and you should contact John Blackburn if you wish to display your bike.

20th July 2008 - Fleetwood Transport Festival (Tram Sunday)

The committee of the Fleetwood Transport Festival (known locally as "Tram Sunday") cordially invite you, your members and, if you wish your, club along with all of your vehicles to attend the 2008 event which will be held on 20th July, 2008 (3rd Sunday of July each year).

Our event, now entering its 24th year, is particularly unique as it is set in the historic town centre roads rather than on a muddy field. Fleetwood is a seaside location very close to Blackpool, Lancashire, and the event not only attracts enthusiasts but a 30,000-strong, wide variety of visitors including young families - introducing them to the joys that classic vehicles can bring. We have a HUGE number of trade stands at the event which runs from 10am until 4pm. The event currently attracts around 60 buses, 180 cars, 20-30 motorbikes and a wide variety of other specialist and exciting vehicles (last year this included a monster truck), however we would like your help with building on this figure!!

Attendance as an exhibitor or a visitor is entirely FREE. All exhibitors are presented with a commemorative plaque. Please contact me for entry forms or if you have any questions.

We like to think that the event is fairly club friendly due to the fact that it involves the whole family, we have ample space, there are plenty of shops and cafés and the fact that we are used to accommodating clubs together. Please contact me if you would like to bring a club stand. (I have a typed piece formatted for BB Code forums if you would like that).

Thank you,
Lawrence Weetman

Gates open to the public at 9.00 a.m. (Event finishes mid afternoon)

Classic MotorcycleAVENUE OF CLUBS & COMPETITION MACHINE DISPLAY

The Jawa CZ Owners Club has been invited by the organising VMCC Committee to participate again at the above event on Sunday 3rd August 2008 to promote our interests. We will have our standard grass pitch of 6 x 6 metres (20 sq ft) as usual. As in most years the nearness of the event to Europe means that there is a good chance to see machines visiting from the Czech Republic and other our other European neighbours.

Entries for the Saturday Run (2nd August 2008) which is limited to 350 machines, are invited from members of the VMCC, affiliated and invited Clubs (includes Jawa CZ Owners Club) riding two or three wheeled vehicles that are more than 25 years old. There is an entry fee for this run, and there is camping available.

Website for downloading forms and more information is: http://www.westkentrun.co.uk

All riders taking part in the Saturday Run will have free Sunday entry providing they retain their Programme and Riding Number on their motorcycle.

If you only wish to visit the event on Sunday morning you can bring your bike to our stand and attend without charge, as long as you have a ticket. I will have a maximum free 8 tickets for first come first served as in previous years. No S.A.E. = no tickets. You’ll have to pay to get in!
